When: Saturday June 5, 2010
What:
White t-shirt: Present from my parents
Black vest: ? (Europe)
Blue skirt: Forever XXI
Beige booties: from this seller on eBay
Fedora hat: Conway (Panama)
Black Liz Claiborne purse: TJ Max
Jersey necklace: I made it myself ;)
Where: Just a restful day catching up on an interesting book I'm reading.
Comments:
Today's outfit was inspired by the Victor Victoria challenge over at What I Wore. I think its great that Jessica from What I Wore makes fun challenges for all of her readers to participate, so I decided to give it a try myself.
For this challenge you had to wear either an extremely feminine outfit or a men inspired one. Since dressing feminine would be just too easy, I decided to challenge myself to go with men inspired. So what I did was that I included men inspired items into my outfit, like the fedora hat, the vest, and the retro shoes, while keeping everything else feminine and cute. I know there is a lot going on, but I'm pretty please with the results!
Once I was dressed, I noticed that I was missing some color (remember, I'm the color junky... jaja) so I decided to make a jersey necklace to match my outfit! I actually finished it pretty quickly (about an hour and a half) and felt great that I made a new necklace for myself. I especially love the purple and blue color combo and the cute flowers!
Oh also, you can expect me to post more jersey necklaces during this summer since I have a whole bag full of old t-shirts that need to be put to good use ;)
