FAVORITE MAKE UP LOOK: BRONZED SKIN & CORAL LIPS

Since I've been getting quite a bit of emails asking about my make up, I thought it'd be a good idea to do a step-by-step instructional on how to re-create one of my favorite make up looks. The beauty of this particular look is that it's really simple to do and you can use your favorite products.

I always recommend using really good brushes, like EcoTools ones for example. When it comes to make up, blending is everything, and good brushes really get the job done!:) Though I've used quite a few different brushes in the past, lately I've made a switch to EcoTools ones. Aside from the fact that they are made from eco conscious materials and are animal cruelty-free, something that's really important to me, they also  perform absolutely beautifully! Finally, and I am sure this will come as no surprise if you read my blog on regular basis, the reason why this is my go-to make up look is because it's super versatile. A great day-time look, you can wear it pretty much anywhere from work to school and everything in between:)

To my younger readers who've been asking me about a good back to school make up look, I say bronzed cheeks and matte coral lips make a great first impression and always look fresh:) Obviously I am a huge cat-eye liner fanatic, but for school, you guys may want to keep it a bit more natural by simply lining closer to the lash line and not extending so far beyond the corners of the eye!

Step 1: I've mentioned before, I am not a huge fan of foundation, and wear it only on very rare occasions. So today, I simply applied an oil-free moisturizer with an SPF and followed with concealer   one shade lighter than my natural skin tone. Normally, I apply concealer using EcoTools Eye Perfecting brush from the Complexion Collection by dotting it under the eyes and around nostrils. Reason why I like using this brush is because it helps to really spread the product evenly and ensure everything is blended perfectly:)!

Step 2: To set the concealer and control shine ( since my skin does tend to be on the oily side), I applied translucent powder using EcoTools Mattifying Finish brush from the Complexion Collection. Quick tip: make sure you are applying the setting powder very lightly and delicately, to avoid that caked-on look.

Step 3: Whenever I use both bronzer and highlighter, I generally opt for a matte bronzer to avoid looking too sparkly. I also love using matte bronzers to contour my face because they really help create that shadow-like effect I am looking for. Using EcoTools Angled Kabuki brush I applied bronzer in the hollow of my cheeks, right below the cheekbone and I also dusted a bit on my forehead around the hairline and the jaw line.

Step 4: Since I am not a particular fan of super matte face, highlighting is basically a number one obsession of mine! Aside from the fact that a well placed highlight brings a bit of light to your complexion, it also helps to create that beautifully glowing skin! For today's look I wanted to create a very soft and subtle highlight, so I applied a powder highlighter using EcoTools Delux Fan brush to cheekbones, cupid's bow, bridge of my nose and chin.

Step 5: After applying a bit of sparkly gold eyeshadow all over my upper lid, I applied gel eyeliner using the Define brush from the EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Set along the top of my lash line extending beyond the natural outer corner to create my favorite cat-eye look.

Step 6: Generally speaking coral is my favorite lip color, so soft and pretty, I think it looks absolutely beautiful with bronzed skin. To finish this look, I used one of my favorite lip products of all time, i.e. Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Niagara Overlook. Aside from color, what I really like about this one is the fact that it doesn't dry my lips but actually moisturizes them and since my lips tend to be a bit dry, that's really important to me:)

That is it for this make up look! As you can see it's pretty easy to create, but just in case you have any questions about tools or application, email me any time, I'd be happy to answer!
